Today’s wedding is one that I was waiting for even before it happened. Our stunner bride happened to show me a little bit of a sneak peak into her wedding ensemble and I was hooked 😍 .I often get asked how do I choose a particular wedding to write about .Simple. The only criteria that I have is ‘would I wear that’ and ‘do I love it’ and voila 😉. It also helps if I know the bride a little bit and here I did and today’s stunner is quite known for stunning taste in ethnic clothing ❤️.
Meet our stunning dancing belle, Annmary and her dapper singer, guitarist, meme king husband, Joseph. I personally feel nothing beats choosing a traditional ensemble for your special day. For her engagement, Annmary chose to step out in this beautiful cream lehenga with golden hues and lotus mottifs all over by Paislee, Kochi.
The lehenga choli combination gives one the perfect shape along with a quiet chic look too. I think this is one ensemble that never seems to fade away and stays in vogue. Although this particular style of clothing has undergone many ups and down, it still continues to be a unique and fashionable choice.
The engagement day is one of the most important days in the life of brides-to-be. And so rightfully, every woman wants to look their very best during their special days. Together with the ensemble you choose, the jewellery you wear also will have a huge impact on how you look. Hence, choosing the right type of jewellery, something that matches your body and persona and makes you radiant, is extremely important.
And always remember the first commandment for picking out jewellery- Do not go overboard. Less is always more and no matter how tempting it is – never let your accessories outshine you. Our bride keeping in mind, the lehenga top was heavily worked on, chose to keep it simple and yet elegant with this stunning one layered emerald necklace and earrings from M.O.D, Kochi who are immensely popular for their unique designs.
Her stunning hair and makeup was done by Samson Lei. If you look closely, you’ll see a beautiful blood red rose flower 🌹 as a hair accessory on our bride. Nowadays fresh flowers aren’t just for your bouquet and centerpieces. Consider adding them to your hairstyle as well. The rose worn by Annmary is extremely special since they’re from her mother’s very own much loved garden ❤️.
Our dapper groom chose to complement our stunner by opting for an off white raw silk juba from Gaarb Couture, Thrissur paired along with the traditional Kerala kasavu mundu. And I absolutely love how he’s making the neutrals work so perfectly in this attire 🔥.
Their stage décor is one that is truly picturesque worthy . Themed weddings have become the norm today. One can truly make their day unique by choosing a theme. The stage backdrop is one that is visible in almost all your pictures and our bride truly kept this thought in mind while getting the décor done beautifully by Snehadeepam Wedding Hub, Thrissur. I love how they chose to go with strings of jasmine all over with lotus buds hanging at the ends. It gives the sense of a lotus shower. Almost like it’s raining flowers 😍.
Now this wedding stole my heart for many reasons. I love brides wearing shades of any hue but gold always stands out for me for I feel it truly brings out the warmth of Indian skin tones. The right colors can totally transform your look and enhance your natural beauty. Our belle chose this beautiful golden tulle saree embellished all over with golden buttas and sequins along with a thick golden bavanji border from Ritu Kumar, Chennai. Now, the blouse design is one that truly won me over 😍. I do not get to see a lot of brides flaunting full sleeves on their big day and Annmary scores for choosing to tread differently 👏.
Now if you’re someone who wants to show some skin and yet want to go for a full- sleeve. Do what our smart bride did and opt for a net blouse that has embroidery on it 💡.
Our belle’s jewellery and makeup is one that has to be spoken about. She paired her stunning saree with this beautiful kundan and emerald layered necklace from Sangeetha Jewellery, Kochi. The green truly makes the saree and our bride shine and is an easy way to work in a little colour into ones wedding day wardrobe.
Annmary’s sleek updo and flawless makeup was done once again by Samson Lei.It isn’t often I get to see a bride treading from the usual pinks and muaves and going for a darker shade of lipstick and doesn’t she look stunning 😍?Goes to show treading differently at times can really pay off 👏.
Our groom was on par with our bride choosing to go with this deep royal blue bandhgala suit from Gaarb Couture,Thrissur. Lately bandhgala suits have catching up on many grooms radar and for all the right reasons. This indo western attire is a true fusion of the best of ethnic and western wear and I think groom’s who’d like to tread differently from the suits and tuxedos, need to give bandhgalas a shot. Personally, I also love how the blue makes Annmary’s golden saree pop ❤️. Truly a husband who complements his wife (Wordplay alert 😎)
If you ask me to name my top favorites for decors, I’ll choose fairy lights, flowers and anything that has a rustic vibe ❤️. Weddings are just such beautiful events – even more so when they have that rustic allure. Rustic weddings have gotten really popular over the past few years and it definitely isn’t something I’m complaining about 😄.
I love how the wooden wall backdrop with fairy lights and flowers, makes their décor look like it came straight out of a story book. This beauty of a stage was done stunningly by Rose Flora and Décor, Thrissur. Sometimes the simplest things can make the grandest of statements ❤️.
Now the importance of having a good photography team capturing your big day is something I’ve spoken and rambled about a lot. If you ask almost any bride what she remembers about her big day, you’ll probably hear ‘it all went by so fast and most of it was just one big blur’ (As a former bride, I can vouch for this 😁). So having a team capture all of your day, allows you to re-live it every time you see it 😊. Perks of technology, I tell you 😉. A huge shout out to Tuesday lights who’ve done such a fab job at capturing Annmary’s and Joseph’s fun filled big day.

Last but not the least, COUPLE FACT 😍. I personally love asking brides to talk about their husband’s. Fun for them and fun for me because it always leaves me with a smile 😊. I have a thing for brides who’ll call a spade for a spade. Annmary mentioned to me about how different she and Joseph are from each other. A lot of the times, people are very hesitant to admit to that because often folks believe that ‘relationships are stronger and easier when you share a lot in common’. But is that the truth really 😏?
I think the expression ‘opposites attract’ has been batted around for centuries and I feel there’s a lot of veracity to it. I may not know exactly what makes opposites attract but there is no denying that a successful relationship isn’t about loving the same attributes, but learning to love what makes you different. I think the saying ‘she/he completes me’ is most true for those who share multiple differences. Food for thought, isn’t it 😊?
Our belle did also say he’s the calm to her storm 😄 and that meeting him was the best thing to ever happen to her 😄. Does it get more lovey dovey than this 💑?
