Lia & Kuncheria

Something that I get asked a lot is how do I find my stunning brides 😄? May I sneak in something that’s much loved by romanticists out there – Serendipity.  I truly think good things will come your way when the time’s right although there are times I do struggle to completely immerse myself in this ideology. There are times when I do feel life truly is taking me on a whirl but I’ve learnt to hold on and slowly it gets better. Too much thinking I’ve been doing lately, I tell you 🤪.

Shall we get to business now peeps? Meet our stunning bride of today and her dapper man, Lia and Kuncheria. By the way, I always swoon over unique names and they incidentally all happen to be women but today, I have someone of the opposite gender doing the magic for me. I love the name Kuncheria for it reminds me so much of the “Kottayam Achayan’s” portrayed in Malayalam movies 😃. Also, for my non south Indian readers, “Kottayam achayans” are basically the Bradely Cooper/Brad Pitt of the South Indian movie industry 😗. Clearly, I’ve watched too many movies 🤘.

For their engagement, Lia looked her stunning best in this gorgeous lace pink sari from Seemati, Kochi. Now there are a lot of colours favoured by the brides of today but shades of pink and pastels, always seem to win over brides.

A fun fact about this stunning sari is how it was picked right before the very day of her engagement 😲. Any woman who can shop like this in a day’s time without compromising on the taste, needs to be revered if you ask me 👏.

And not to forget, a huge shout out to Seemati, Kochi. I’ve always loved their sarees and I think it’s easy to see why Beena Kannan is a known visionary in the Indian fashion industry. I truly do think we finally live in a world where the gender gap between man and woman is slowly disintegrating. It is no longer a rare sight to see women at the hem of a million dollar company.  Lets just say the world is a better place when women have the power to lead, shall we 😎?

When it comes to jewellery, everybody wants something that’s unique and special. From the family heirlooms to the ones you pick out for yourself, they all hold a great deal of significance. Our belle is one who spent a great deal of time researching the different choices and boutiques available in Kerala. Hail Pinterest. I think we women need to collectively write in to Pinterest thanking them for what they’ve done for a gazillion bridezilla’s out there 🙌.

As soon as Lia stepped into MOD Jewellery, Kochi she right away knew she wanted to wear one of their designs and let me tell you, this is something I’ve heard from a lot of brides who’ve visited this boutique.  Our stunner picked out these one-of-a kind earrings, bangles and ring while the necklace was specially custom made to match the rest of the jewellery. And isn’t it just stunning ❤️?

Speaking of stunning, Lia’s breathtaking makeup was done by the very talented Van Kris, who our belle tells me is open to suggestions and is exceptionally perceptive which I believe are two traits that every MUA should have and voila. What you see is the end result- a very happy and gorgeous bride 👰.

While our belle stole the show in her pastel ensemble, Kuncheria was quite the dapper man himself in a deep blue royal suit paired with a crisp white shirt. What truly stole my heart was the tie sported by our groom-to-be which was thoughtfully kept pink to match his gorgeous woman 😍.

Pastel decors are all over inspiration boards on Pinterest. I think there’s s something inherently romantic and elegant about pastels, which is why they remain such a popular choice with brides. Our stunner  holds a special love for pastels and that was incorporated into their big day beautifully by the talented folks at Dream Florists & Decorators, Thrissur.

And not to be forgotten, their beautiful day was captured splendidly by the talented folks at White Hopper Photography, Thrissur.

Lia’s love for pastel is one that you’ll see thorough out her stunning choice of attires. For her wedding eve, she chose this gorgeous pastel green saree with pearl embellishments from Panache,Thrissur. She had her heart set on a pearl embellished sari inspired from pictures she came across on Pinterest . Fellow bridezilla’s, remember it always pays to have a vision in mind and the result will be something sweeter than mangoes 😄.

This sure was a day to share in some love with her near and dear ones and let her hair down and that’s exactly what you see. A bride-to-be having galores of fun 💃.

Remember I said, Lia’s pastel love is something you’ll see everywhere 😄.  And you will 😉. For her wedding, our belle looked nothing short of a vision in a beautiful pastel lace sari with a gorgeous trail done specially on request.

Cookies and milk. Movies and popcorn. Humidity and bee hive hair (Psst, Kerala, I’m talking to you 😏).  Bridal trains and wedding gowns. That is how they each go hand in hand . While I have to admit bridal trains and wedding gowns are truly synonymous; recently there has been a surge in wedding trains with saris and this is a trend, I assure you is here, to stay and slay. Looking at our stunner should give you the answer to why ❤️.

The stunning jewellery completing our stunner’s wedding look were custom made by the popular Sangeetha Jewellery, Kochi and her beautiful makeup and hair do was done by Jolly of Jolly’s Hollywood Saloon, Kottayam who definitely doesn’t disappoint 🔥.

While Lia slayed in her stunning lace sari, Kuncheria was on par in a suave black tux paired with a crisp white shirt.

Now I absolutely love, the twist he’s brought in. Y’all know I love it when grooms tread down the road less taken 😍. Treading from the usual greys and whites, our dapper boy chose a plaid vest to pair with his tuxedo. Isn’t it just such a gorgeous take on incorporating more colours into the sober but sharp tux’s 🔥?

Now the importance of décor should never be underestimated. They create an atmosphere for your wedding event which enhances the overall beauty of the ceremony, showcase the bride and groom and spread some LOOVE ❤️.

Lia and Kuncheria were steadfast on wanting both their decors to be unlike each other. Keeping in mind  Kuncheria’s mother’s penchant for lotuses, they decided to go the more traditional route with lotus buds and fairy lights stealing the show ❤️.  And nobody does traditional better than the folks at Parnasala Event Management, Kanjirapally. Truly their work speaks for themselves.

Also, a definite mention goes again to White Hopper Photography, Thrissur who captured their D day so aesthetically.

Last but not the least, COUPLE FACT ❤️. Today’s love story is one that reminds of you of the power of social media. Our belle met the man of her dreams while on a trip to Kerala and their love blossomed from there.

The power of love and every mode of social media (HAIL INTERNET 😄) is how they kept it going 💪. Long distance relationships, like any relationship, take hard work however it is also very accomplishable. If you have the love and willpower, put in the effort, champion your love for each other and take the difficult days with a pinch, you’ll meet your man down the aisle just like our belle did.

Lets send them both some extra love for reminding us the power of love and iron clad resolve, shall we 😘?

And as always, if you have any questions for me regarding this post or otherwise, you know what to do 😄. Don’t forget to show us some love on our Instagram handle @epokalyanam and Facebook page @epokalyanam.theblog.

And please feel free to drop me in a message if you love what you read and see. I always love hearing from you all . Psst, by doing so you’ll be absolutely making my day.

❤️,

Elza
