Sherin & Tom

“In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.” This is the first thing that popped into my mind when I came across this beautiful bride. That and how she looks like a porcelain doll 😍. I truly love seeing brides choosing to be exquisite on their big days. Kerala truly is blessed with the prettiest of prettiest brides with the most exceptional style and that definitely needs to be shared 😊.

Meet our radiant bride and her dashing man, Sherin and Tom. For the wedding eve or ethilrepu, our luminous bride was the epitome of radiance and glamour in her stunning custom made ensemble. Now if there’s one bridal wear designer who can boast of a variety of different outfits in different styles, then that’s Poornimah Indrajith for you. Our bride also told me over how apprehensive she was over her big day outfits but the minute she met this fashionista designer, her worries all disappeared away  🙌.

I personally feel Indian brides aren’t complete without wearing the color red in one of their functions. Sherin decided to wear red on her wedding eve and much to my absolute delight , she chose to wear this deep red Banarasi lehenga ❤️. Our bride chose a striking traditional deep red, pure Banarasi multi panel designed lehenga which was paired with an intricately hand embroidered deep red brocade choli from Pranaah, Kochi. And to complete the look, it was paired with a flowy dupatta of the same color with golden embellishments on the borders.

And our belle chose to complete her ensemble with these stunning kundan jewellery from a boutique in London.

I think it’s fair-y(word play alert 😎) to say by now, everyone knows my love for fairy lights. Our stunner bride specifically wanted a wedding eve that reminded her of the colors of the twilight and sunset and remind it did indeed. In her fiery red banarasi lehenga and with all her family members decked out in colors of red and orange, her décor was one to behold. This stunning décor was done by their family friend- Muneer who’s also incidentally a stage decorator who went out all the way to Bangalore to get our bride everything she envisioned. He truly deserves a shout out 😄

Another noteworthy detail is how her red lehenga had a hidden novelty to it. The couple’s names-Sherin and Tom were embroidered on the lehenga’s tassels 😍.  This is a beautiful way to personalize your bridal lehenga and stand out amongst the sea of brides wearing lehenga’s.

For the wedding, our bride was a vision in white. And I haven’t seen a more breathtakingly different bride than this stunner. Sherin looked like a dream in her ivory white lace wedding saree, embellished all over with intricate hand embroidery and pearl embellishments from Praanah,Kochi. The most distinctive part of this custom made ensemble is the scalloped neckline which adds such a unique twist to the silhouette 😍 . Don’t you think so 👏? Our stunner was quite the internet sensation in this gorgeous little number, with every woman out there loving this ensemble. Quite easy to see why 😄!

And not to forget, her dewy makeup and updo was done by the ever famous Aneez Anzari,Kochi. I personally love the addition of the baby pink roses to her hair. Flower hair accessories truly do create a soft romantic look and they add such a whimsical vibe to any bridal ensemble.

To fit the bride, our handsome groom was dressed to the nines in a dapper royal blue suit from John Lewis, London .Tom chose to wear, a little bolder than navy, royal blue suit with a crisp white shirt accompanied by a sky blue tie. A pointer for all you grooms to-be out there 💡, if you’re unsure what color goes with royal blue, remember one can never go wrong with white. It is a classic, effortlessly flattering combination that you really can’t mess up, plus an understated look will always go a long way 😎.

For the reception, Sherin changed into a bright red kancheepuram silk saree embellished all over with golden motifs  and a thick gold zeri border from Jayalakshmi, Kochi and the gorgeous statement jewellery she’s sporting are from Francis Allukas, Kochi.

And not to forget their wedding décor which looks right out of a picture frame. Choosing the perfect wedding backdrop is of great importance. It is the place where most of your moments are captured and will be a forever memory for you and your better half. Our lovely couple’s stage décor was one right out of a fairy tale and was done by Fonix Wedding Planner, Kochi.  Here they decided to incorporate in a rustic wooden backdrop adorned all over with green ferns and white and pink roses. My favorite is the wooden monogram wall hanging ❤️. So pretty and yet rustic, don’t you think so ?

And a huge shout out to Sharon Shyam Photography, Kochi for capturing their big days so beautifully. It is vital to remember that one of the most important and yet often put on the back burner is the wedding photography. Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life and you need a good photographer because it is the only tangible remnant of a very special occasion.

Your wedding day pictures tell a story and not just any story. It is the story of your special day, a day you will never forget and one you can show your friends and family, your children and grandchildren, something you will have and can treasure forever. Sherin mentioned to me how Sharon had delivered more than what she had asked for without missing out any of the small details, allowing her to cherish her big day for a lifetime. So those of you wanting to capture your big days down to the very detail, you know who to be calling 💡.
