One of my most favorite things in the world is to eat and eat and eat š. And then look at wedding pictures while eating. That ladies and gentlemen is how I roll š. I guess itās quite fair to say WEDDINGS are truly my thing. Also, why I have a blog where I write about weddings and all its goodness šŖ. This blog has bought me so much of joy and contentment. And it amplifies every time I meet a new bride and groom who let me share in a little bit of their most important day with you all. Letās just say my joy has hit the roofs todayĀ šš».
When I came across this this curly haired belle on social media, I fell in love and when I got to know her personally, I was in MADLY in love š. This lil stunner just brightens up your morning with her infectious energy and oneĀ cannot NOT adore her stunning curls š. What Iād give for curls like thoseĀ ā¤ļø!
Meet our stunning curly haired stunner and her dashing dapper man, Liz and Ashwin. Lately, Iāve been loving the eazy breezy-ness that orapikals have been having. Iām getting to see more of just friends and family coming together over some good food to celebrate the bride and groom to be and that is exactly what most families should strive for. With a smaller and more intimate event, youāll have plenty of opportunity to spend more time with those you have invited and also get plenty of special moments just for the two of you . The result: happy newlyweds to be , happy guests and an unforgettable day to cherish šŖ. Quite the win win in my bookĀ ā¤ļø.
For the oripikals, Liz chose to go with a never seen before color on brides to be. Personally, I do have my favorite in pastels but I absolutely love when brides chose a different route. And this particular suit is not only different but quite elegant and yet easy to move around.(Psst, my sincere apologies for the photos. Since it was an intimate family event, they decided to live the moment and capture the day on their own cameraās and not hire a professional photographer. I loved the vibe and the outfit so I knew itād be a shame not to share š)
For her makeup, Liz went all out with a fresh blow out and minimalistic makeup(done by herself) which I loveĀ š . And our handsome boy chose to deck himself up in a crisp white shirt which was paired along with a pair of brown formal pants from the USA. Personally I feel, the brown is what makes the white pop. The groom scores on the groom-o-meter for sure š„.
Now their wedding is my personal favorite and youāll see why š.What makes the bride feel the most amazing on her big day is the ā wedding ensemble. When so much of meaning is ascribed to a piece of clothing, the prospect of looking for a wedding ensemble can seem daunting. But remember always, wedding ensembles are never to be rushed. Itās the one you wear on your big day and what youāll see on looking back 30 years from now. So choose wisely, both the dress and the man š. And choose wisely our bride did indeed, by hand-picking this stunning beige French Chantilly lace saree with sequins and glass beads from Seemati, Kochi.
Now what truly stole my heart about this beautiful and drew me to reach out to our stunner was her curls š©ā. Remember I mentioned the curls ?Well, youāll see them soonā¤ļø. Your big day is all about you and how you choose to style your hair on your wedding day is, of course, completely and only up to you. But always remember to choose what you feel suits you the most and lets you be you. Her stunning makeup and hair do was done by the famous Shobha Kunjan ofĀ Live in Style .
Incidentally, Lizās mom was also dolled up for her marriage by this famous woman with magic on her fingertips and I love that she chose to share that in . A special mention also needs to go to how Shobha Kunjan decided not to straighten out our belleās hair. She adored it that much and I love her for rallying for all the curly haired women out thereĀ š.
Ā A special mention also needs to go to the gorgeous hand made bridal bouquet. Many women choose lilies and roses as the main flowers in their bouquet š. But I think that a little bit of greenery goes a long, long way when it comes to the bouquet š. It just adds that extra “bit” to them. Donāt you think so ?
Recently layering is a trend that is catching on quickly.Ā However mastering the art of layering your jewellery can be a tricky thing. Layering your jewelry in a way that looks effortless yet pristine is as difficult as it is to create the perfect messy bunāthe ones you spend an hour trying to perfect with the sole intention of it looking like you threw it up in two seconds as you walked out the doorĀ š .Remember, spacing is the key to successful layering . Choosing the right length necklaces will provide symmetry and create a simplistic clean style. Our bride so thoughtfully put together these two statement necklaces custom made from Coimbatore . Donāt they just bezaddle the whole outfit š?
And letās not forget our handsome groom. Dapper in his slim fit single breasted blazer ,jet black waist coat with aĀ crisp whiteĀ shirt from Lokesh Ahuja, Bangalore , Ashwin was ready to kill . I personally love it when groomās choose to complement their brides so well . Donāt they just make a stunning couple together ā¤ļø?. And a huge shout out to the quirky airplane handcuffs Ashwin is sporting (These were a gift by our beloved belle š).
Today weddings take shape in many looks, but by far my most favorite are the ones with a touch of romantic vintage charm. This wedding dƩcor is sure to sweep you off your feet with its soft color pallet ,fresh florals and magical lighting , to name a few. It is amazing how soft lights can totally transform a space.Less was definitely more in this case with floral additions to their receptions tables, with glass tea lights, glass vases and lanterns creating the ultimate atmosphere for romance and was done so beautifully.

The wedding also had some truly special elements thatāll warm up your hearts. Liz chose to treasure and shower her loved ones with personalized hand stitched messages on handkerchiefs done by a dear Aunt of Liz’s .Letās say we all know where everyone was dabbing their tears on š. I think itās always the little things that count .After all, it is the memories that we take home that matter the most ā¤ļø.
AndĀ huge shout out to Lizās multi talented friends and family for helping her steal Ashwinās heart again with an āamazingly choreographed in the shortest time possible ā routine š. And look, they had a gorgeous ballerina amist their midsts too. I guess we all know who to be stealing from at this weddingĀ š. All of this stunning-ness was captured beautifully by the talented D Photographers, Kochi.
Now time for some random COUPLE FACT š.Ā This beautiful couple fell for each other and decided to get hitched right after their first call which happened through skype. Love at first skype is how Iād put it š(This word play is a disease I tell ya š). Now as a comrade of the arranged marriage bandwagon myself, I often get asked a multitude of questions about it. Although arranged marriages have dramatically changed with basic courting and dating being part of the process, it still involves two people who really do not know each other very well.
To be fair, marrying a stranger is quite queer if you ask me but life and love are very mysterious things and often things work out for us. So for all my fellow women and brides to be worrying over arranged marriages. Let me tell you to breathe in, breathe out, pray and follow your gut and watch life spring a lovely surprise on you. I’m sure our bride couldn’t agree more š. This adorable couple is also hitting their special anniversary right around the corner. Sending a blissful wish of many more years of love and joy their way ā¤ļø.
And as always,Ā if you have any questions for me regarding this post or otherwise, you know what to do š. Donāt forget to show us some love onĀ ourĀ Instagram handle Ā Ā @epokalyanam andĀ Facebook pageĀ Ā Ā @epokalyanam.theblog. And please feel free to drop me in a message if you love what you read and see. I always love hearing from you all š. Psst, by doing so youāll be absolutely making my day.
Lots of Ā ā¤ ,
