Valentine’s day is by far the most celebrated day for those in love. While I’ve always had a ‘I’m not sure how to put it’ relationship with it, I do love love 😉 and I do love everything to do with it ❤️. So going the cliché route, we at Epo Kalyanam are launching ‘Apo & Ipo’ on this much loved day. For my non South Indian readers, Apo and Ipo are two Malayalam words that mean ‘Then and Now’.
Here I’ll be posting pre and post wedding shoots allowing me to encapsulate your journey starting off as newly wedded couples to couples who’re experiencing love in multitudes in the journey called life. Now do you see why we went for ‘Apo and Ipo’ 😎. Psst btw, my husband-man-boy gets all the credit for the thought behind the name 😄. Credit where credit’s due as the old saying goes. So starting off with our series with a very much loved bride and groom who also incidentally happens to be the first couple featured on Epo Kalayanam- Pretty & Sachin.
For their one year anniversary, our dapper couple chose to epitomize their love by capturing their special day in pictures 📷. Have you ever thought about why photos are so important? I truly think pictures we capture are a part of our legacy that we leave behind for our children and generations to come. I’ve always looked at them as a reminder of where we’ve been and how far we’ve come. These reminders are what hangs in our homes, decorating our coffee tables and reminding us of the good times shared.
To celebrate their love, our duo memorialized their anniversary in front of the cameras welded by the talented Artwist by Arvind Ram,Chennai at Fort Kochi, Kerala. Our belle stepped out in a custom made ensemble by Hanger Atelier, Chennai. Wanting a more relaxed vibe to reflect their relationship as well, our pretty woman paired up this beautiful dress with sneakers and threw in some heels as well to stand tall with the husband 😄. And her dapper man dazzled in a custom made outfit by Hanger Atelier, Chennai as well. Pretty’s pretty hairdo and makeup was done by the talented Tiya of thatchennaigirlmakeup .
A pointer to every couple out there who’s toying with the idea of ‘should we be clicked or not’. Although to some it may seem like a frivolous investment, the notion could not be any further away from the truth. Getting a memory captured provides you an incredible investment. Not only does it give you a new addition to your coffee table and wall hangings, it lets you look back into your marriage. There is something very winsome about looking at pictures and seeing how much you’ve changed; not only in how you look but also on how you look onto each other. We always are different from what we were a year ago and it allows you to see the transformation in the season of life. And here what you’ll see are two people who are more in love than ever after 8 years of sharing life through the ups and downs and falling more in love with every passing day. Trust me, I know ✋. I was the trusty age old side kick to their love story which has been nothing short of a fairy tale.
