Arti & Bobin

I guess every blog post of mine is always going to have a little story (I promise it’s a short one 😁 ) about the bride so grab your munchies and read up .This bride is actually a friend’s friend and when she got married being the nut I am over weddings, I got to see a peek into her wedding pictures and I loved how graceful and minimalistic this bride chose to be. So when I decided to start a blog, I knew she deserved a mention so here we go.

Meet our gorgeous bride and groom, Arti and Bobin. Our bride was very specific on wanting a lightweight wedding gown so featherweight one it was.  She told me she went on a large scale hunt to get that perfect gown but in the end it all worked out. Arti is wearing a nude gown with a flowy silhouette and the bodice is embellished with sequins stones and applique flowers. Incidentally, this bride mentioned to me how this was actually a bridesmaids gown but the minute she saw it, she knew this was the one. Goes to show, that treading a little differently at times can benefit you.

Her hair and makeup was done from  Hey lady, Kottayam. The white lilies she’s holding was a special request and was done from the same place itself. A special mention needs to go to how minimalistic she went on the jewellery. She chose to wear an exquisite all- around necklace from Swarovski’s, Dubai angelic collection along with a pair of pierced earring jackets from Swarovski itself.

Our groom was on par with the bride but let’s face it, when it comes to wedding attires, the spotlight always tends to be all on the bride and dress. But, thankfully, a shift has been taking place in the wedding world for some time and more and more grooms are embracing their attire selection as a reflection of their style and personality. Bobin decided to go all classic in a dapper tailor made black tux with a crisp white shirt along with a black bow-tie from a boutique in Bahrain. Don’t you just love men in bow-ties 😎?

A black and white tux is a great way of looking great and it’s easy to see why: they just work so well with the aesthetic and formality of most weddings which can be easily seen in this wedding .

For the reception, Arti changed into a baby pink pure silk manthrakodi with traditional thread work from Seemati, Kochi. Her jewellery is a collection over the years by her mum. I think it’s fair to say every malayali/south indian(to be precise 😉 )mom has a secret stash kept for their girls to be used on their wedding day.  Although a recent addition to the collection was done by the bride herself. She tailor made and wore these pair of custom made antique jhumkas along with her sari from Joy Allukas, Dubai and doesn’t it just compliment her whole outfit together?

Nowadays, no wedding décor feels complete without a combination of light strings and fresh flowers. The synergy of these two elements makes a perfect background for the centre stage. And that is exactly what was done for their décor too by SJ Caterers and Decorators, Kottayam. Check out the rustic and classic theme they’ve bought about and don’t you just love the minimalistically done flower backdrop? And not to forget, their lovely photos were clicked by the popular Crew6 Projects, Kochi .
