Nikitha & Ebby

It’s funny when you put numbers into perspective, you see how fast time has flown. When I decided to start this blog, all I wanted was at least one person to read it 🤔. I remember asking the husband, what if no one reads it and what if I get no brides? All the cutie pie said to me was I’ll read it so there’s your one person 😄 ❤️. Let’s just say I fell a little more in love that day  😍.

Today’s bride is very special to me. We’ve hit our 10th bride and I couldn’t be more excited about it 💃. And there’s no better way to share some of my happiness than to be able to write about one of my dearest friend’s big day. We’ve known each other since high school although funny thing is, we never spoke much to each other in school. We knew each other and smiled at each other and that was it. But years later, thanks to us having a common bestie in between, we started talking and we hit off right from there leaving me wondering why weren’t we friends before? Go figure 😉. Let’s say I get it when men say ‘Women are so hard to understand’ 😆.

Now to our bride 😃. Meet Nikitha and Ebby, our gorgeous bride and groom. What I love the most about what she wore for her engagement is her choice of pastel colours. Our bride carries this sea green ensemble with grace and elegance. She’s wearing a bright pink raw silk blouse accentuated with printed golden flower motifs which was paired with a sea green gotta patti worked lehenga skirt.

To complete the look, our stunner paired it with a pastel green sheer dupatta with metallic silver embroidery on the ends. The crop top and lehenga skirt ensemble was stitched and done separately across a few boutiques in Dubai.

Her makeup and up down as I call it(newly coined word alert 😎) was done by the famous Aneez Anzari,Kochi. She swears by him and has asked me to recommend him to every bride to be I come across. The gorgeous neckpiece and bangles were taken from Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Dubai and the earrings are from Goodwill, Kochi.

And our handsome 6 ft groom( Yep, a very taaall man indeed 😄.  If you see a bunch of us girls wearing neck braces, just know it’s just from us trying to look him in the eye for a few hours 😁 )wore a royal blue raw silk indo western sherwani  from Darbar,Mumbai with a contrast cream coloured collar and cream pants.

For the wedding, our bride chose to wear a gorgeous modified A- line style gown from Seemati,Kochi  with a high neck and sweetheart neckline underneath. The gown is embellished with sequences and lace and applique flowers all over along with a classic cathedral veil. The stunning neckpiece and dangler earrings were also again from Goodwill, Kochi.

And remember, there is no need to keep the jewellery always in a shade of ivory, silver or gold. Adding a pop of colour with jewellery is a subtle way to liven up a classic neutral colour palette which is what our smart bride has done ❤️. .Her hair and makeup was done again by Aneez Ansari and she chose to complete the outfit with a wedding bouquet in colors of white and red.

For the wedding, our groom was all suited up in a deep blue suit from Zara, Dubai  accompanied by a crisp white shirt and a tinted blue pin-dot tie. Now a navy blue suit is a great choice for a wedding. It is less intense than a black suit but still has a formal edge that keeps you looking sharp.

For the wedding reception, Nikitha chose to wear a bright pink kancheepuram silk sari with temple borders from Seemati,Kochi again. Her gorgeous jewellery are from Malabar gold & diamonds, Dubai  and their lovely wedding pictures were clicked away by the talented Crew 6 projects.

Oh and the sister of the bride who incidentally, is also a fashion blogger (do check out her stunning blog –wingsandbling) gets a special mention too for her stylish attire. She’s wearing a blue gown which was gifted by the groom himself. And look at the gorgeous detailing on the gown . The right amount of bling in dynamite blue is a definite win-win. Our bride’s got herself a man who’s not only thoughtful but also has taste.  Aah, some woman just get it all 😉.

And as always, if you have any questions for me regarding this post or otherwise, you know what to do 😃  . Don’t forget to show us some love on our Instagram handle  app-icon2    @epokalyanam and Facebook page  face3 @epokalyanam.theblog. Psst, by doing so you’ll be absolutely making my day  😍.
