Jancy & Aby

When it comes to weddings, each and every single bride goes through a different process. Some are super chill brides or unicorn brides as I call them 😉. Some are super bridezillas (CUE ME) and some take the going bald with stress route (ALSO ME). I think I was shedding all my hair on my head just from the thought of planning a wedding. The time to invest in a wig has come people. Gulf gate, are you listening 😄?

I guess that’s a lot of rambling about hair. Shall we get down to business peeps and fawn over today’s gorgeous couple. Say hello to today’s beautiful bride and groom, Jancy and Aby.

For their engagement, our stunner stepped out in a shade she was very particular on and had her heart set on. Pastel colors have become such a rage in the wedding industry today and it’s easy to see why. It’s subtle, elegant and goes beautifully with Indian skin tones. This beautiful light peachy hued organza lehenga from Seemati, Kochi stole Jancy’s and her bestie’s heart the very minute they laid their eyes on it. The colour truly is the show stopper along with our beautiful herself ❤️.

A pro tip to all my bridezilla’s in the making.  When you’re engagement or wedding shopping, the people you choose to accompany you can really make or break the experience. Having a huge entourage along with you, can get really overwhelming between what your friends are telling you and what your family thinks. In the midst of all this chaos, you tend to forget what YOU want so take along a trusted friend who knows you well and is conscious of your taste.

Coming to her rescue was her trusted bestie Liza who went along with our bride-to-be all over Kochi in hunt of that perfect ensemble. Life is always so much easier when you have someone who has your back. A huge shout out to all the besties out there helping their friends make their big day dreams come true ❤️.

Also, bonus pro tip. If your husband-to-be loves to accompany you, drag him along as well. Our belle knew right away this was the one the minute she saw Aby’s eyes light up as he saw her in this beautiful peach lehenga. It’s all in the eyes people so watch your husband to be’s like a hawk and find that sparkle and get that right dress right away ✨.

If you follow fashion trends over the last couple of years, you will notice that bare neck is quite the rage right now and women have ditched wearing neck accessories altogether. Ditching heavy necklaces and choosing to go bare neck, our beautiful really took it up a notch in these gorgeous Chandbali earrings from Daivik Collections, Kochi.

The icing on the cake was our belle’s beautiful cascading curls and makeup done by the ever talented Unni PS who clearly shows us why he is an industry favourite.

Keeping up with his bride-to-be, Aby chose to go with an attire that’s evolving to be an essential in the men’s wardrobe today, the quintessential Bandhgala. With its versatility of urban meets traditional, the bandhgala sure is a must have. A striking deep blue bandgala from Seemati, Kochi was his colour of choice and quite a good one if I may say so. The contrast of his dark blue with Jancy’s pastel hue is one that warrants attention.

For their wedding, Jancy stole the show in this beautiful unique colour – sage green, which was  suggested and recommended by the sister of the bride. Our belle’s lil sister was specific on wanting the colour of the saree to be in sync with her wedding bouquet and true to her desire; they set out to make it a reality.

One of the hardest aspects of choosing to go with a unique colour is getting the designers to replicate the very shade you have on your mind. Putting an end to that dilemma was our smart duo by choosing to buy a tiny piece of a material of the very colour shade they had in mind and showing it as a reference to Label’M, Kochi. And voila, the bride gets what the bride desires 💪. Pro tip to all my bridezilla’s in the making – if you desire an unique colour for your wedding, then getting a sample material of the shade you fancy is a good way to start.

Everyone wants their big day to go smoothly. Gorgeous outfits, stunning jewellery, your loved ones near you and most importantly wanting to look fabulous in person as well as in pictures so the key lies in finding the right makeup artist. Making her wishes come true were the gifted hands of Unni Ps once again.

While a wedding sari or a gown can transform you into a beautiful bride, the wedding jewellery is quintessential to complete your look. Completing Jancy’s wedding day look were these gorgeous diamond baubles from Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Dubai.

Picking out wedding themes can be quite overwhelming. So many choices and so little time. Pro top from a former bridezilla and wedding blogger – PINTEREST!

If you’re finding it hard on deciding a wedding theme, take some time to close your eyes and envision your big day. What is the vibe you’re going for? How do you want your guests to feel when they walk in? And then, the venue and the rest will fall into place. Keeping all this in mind, give PINTEREST a whirl with what you see or being overwhelmed will be quite the understatement 🙄. Being a bride is work people! Remember the key is to breathe in out, arm yourself with the necessary resources and with some good old internet research, you’ll be just fine😎.

For their wedding theme, Jancy and Aby choose to add in hues of plum and lavender. While lavender brings in a soft romantic hue, the plum works to add in a bit of brightness and this insight reflects beautifully into their simple and classic wedding décor done by the folks at Vee Kay Veeys, Kottayam. If you’re someone who loves attention to the tiny deets, you’ll love that our belle’s gorgeous sari also had the same combination of plum and lavender. Look closely folks. I personally adore that this is why this colour scheme was thoughtfully incorporated into their décor.

Keeping the pastel theme thriving, Jancy changed into a soft pink kancheepuram silk sari for their reception from Seemati, Kochi. Adding the finishing touch to the entire ensemble was her gorgeous antique jewellery from Bhima Jewellers, Tiruvalla indulging the right amount of contrast with those beautiful emerald stones. Also, don’t forget to check out their special day captured by the folks at Tuesday Lights, Kottayam.

Last but never the least, COUPLE FACT. One of my favourite parts about hearing from brides is seeing how much they gush over their man. On a side note , I think the times come to throw some questions onto the men as well 😄.

The Indian population today numbers at 1.3 billion and it always amazes me in this huge crowd of people; we manage to find the one through arranged marriages. I’m going to say it’s just magic 🌟. Well, some magic and lot about listening to your heart.  Jancy and Aby went down the traditional route of meeting each other. Throw in the magic of modern technology and what we get is a love story where two unknown people find their way to each other. Cementing their love was their first official meeting after multitudes of phone calls and conversations. They met and boom, their hearts knew right away and here we are at happily ever after 👩‍❤️‍👨.

I guess the moral of the story folks is to “listen to your heart” and it’s important we take those words as serious as we would a heart attack 😏. Remember, your heart is not just a vessel that keeps you alive. It is literally the rhythm keeper of your lives that reminds us of what we can feel. When you honor the wisdom that your heart has to offer, you act from the very core of your being which is always going to look out for you.

Let’s wish this adorable pair, a lifetime of togetherness and love, shall we ❤️?

And as always, if you have any questions for me regarding this post or otherwise, you know what to do 🥰. Elza
