Swetha & Kuruvilla

We all have that one friend whom we’ve never met but we’ve heard so much about. This stunner bride is that friend to me 😃. She’s beauty with brains and extremely articulate with her thoughts. One of my most favourite things about this bride is that when I got in touch with her and sat her down with a bunch of questions, I got back a detailed and a very eloquent response regarding everything to do with her wedding. Now that’s my kinda bride. Shout out to her very own blog ‘flitteringsoul’, which is such a joy to read. Do check it out if you’d like a sneak peek into her love story of sorts and much more.

Now to our gorgeous bride and her better half. Meet Swetha and Kuruvilla aka Mr.K. For the engagement, our stunner went with one of my personal favourite colours. She chose to wear this baby pink lehenga ensemble from Label M, Kochi.

This beautifully done pastel pink lehenga in raw silk is paired with complimenting sequins and applique work on the top and across the shoulders. The skirt has a little flair to it with thread work and applique flowers done on the edges. To complete the look, it comes along with a delicate pink sheer net dupatta with tassels at the edges.

Our groom, Kuruvilla looked very dashing himself. He chose to wear a beige formal blazer, single breasted with long sleeves and he styled it with a white shirt and a pair of grey trousers. A pointer for all grooms who like to keep it real simple. A simple cotton blazer is enough to alter your look completely and will also lend you that desired amount of comfort that you seek. Sometimes simple can go a long way.

Swetha’s simple and subtle makeup was done by Dewdrops Bridal Makeover Studio, Trivandrum who’s very popular for her minimalistic, personalized makeup (quoting the bride herself) and her gorgeous statement jewellery are a mix from Kushal’s, Bangalore and Kochi. Their lovely stage décor for the engagement was done by the gifted Mary Vimala of MDesigns, Trivandrum who literally wove magic. The stage décor had shades of white and green everywhere and was also embellished with the very much in trend ‘hanging bulbs’ to go with the pastel theme that our bride chose.

For the wedding, our bride was a vision in white. She wore a French lace sari with pearl and stone detailing on the border from Kavani, Kottayam. The sari was paired beautifully with an exquisite diamond necklace and earrings from Sunny Diamonds, Kochi and bangles chosen from Joy Allukas, Trivandrum. And her lovely wedding  make  was done by Maya ‘s  Beauty Clinic, Kottayam.

Swetha’s stunning wedding bouquet is a blend of white bourdia, hydrangea and white roses done again by the talented Mary Vimala of MDesigns, Trivandrum.

And not to forget our handsome groom. It is often important to ensure that both your styles work together as a couple on your wedding and work together, they did indeed. Kuruvilla chose to complement our bride by opting for a classic muted dark grey suit and crisp white shirt from Raymonds, Kochi.

Now the reception is my favourite bit. Often we brides get all the attention and according to my husband, men just get left out completely which btw is true😎. But here, our groom had a change of clothes too which I absolutely love. Swetha changed into this gorgeous pink kancheepuram silk sari with golden zari work from Jayalakshmi, Kochi  while Kuruvilla dazzled in a vibrant orange silk kurta from Manyavar, Kochi.

Now their stage décor again is one to remember and was done by MDesigns, Trivandrum again. Here they decided to incorporate white roses along with bells and strings of jasmine everywhere. Doesn’t it just take your breath away? You get a little caught between wanting to stare at the dashing couple and at how spectacular the entire décor is. Well, it’s a win win so can’t complain 😁

Not to forget, another one of my favourite elements of their wedding, is how the bride got together with the very talented Anina to draw up some doodle invites for their wedding and the reception. The bride and groom have been doodled right down to the notch😍. I truly love it when brides try to incorporate in different elements to their big days and you’ll see why when you see what Anina whipped up. Check out Anina’s Instagram handle thedoodleholic_anina for more of her creative works.

And a huge shout out to Sohil Menon who incidentally is a friend of the bride and also a talented Assistant cinematographer in our Malayalam industry. He is the man to give credit to, for all these lovely photos featuring our stunning couple. Every lovely picture featuring these two was done courtesy of the team of photographers he put together. So any brides looking for stunning pictures, you know who to contact💡.

And as always, if you have any questions for me regarding this post or otherwise, you know what to do 😁.

Don’t forget to show us some love on app-icon2.png Instagram!

Lots of ❤️,
