Which is why I love it when I come across a story and a couple who remind me of this ❤️.
Today’s wedding and couple is one that’ll truly take your breath away. I say that a lot don’t I but hey have I ever been wrong 😄?!
Their love story is one that comes with a twist. One where seasoned arranged marriages meets warm whimsical fuzzy love. I just realized that’s a lot of love . Well, one cannot not love love 😉 . Now let’s go take a look at their gorgeous big days, shall we 💃?
Meet our stunning bride and dashing groom, Sruthy and Akhil. For their fixation ceremony, our stunning duo was a sight to behold. Our belle chose to step out in this beautiful pastel mint green ensemble paired with a shimmery sheer dupatta. One of the most overlooked aspects of having a custom dress created is choosing the right fabric. There are numerous choices, so it helps to consider some possibilities ahead of choosing fabrics. Cue – Pinterest 😄.
Yet, many brides often confess that they have no idea where to begin choosing possible fabrics for their D-DAY ensembles. But not this bride, she knew want she wanted and set out to find it. It always helps to step out with a vision in mind and the rest will fall in place.
Our stunner teamed up this elegant ensemble with these beautiful long dangle earrings from M.O.D, Kochi who are exclusively popular for their unique designs. Now earrings are an important bridal accessory for a few reasons. One, they draw attention to your face and two, they can enhance a simple ensemble or play up the glamorous vibe of an ornate one. Our dapper groom-to-be harmonized with his bride-to-be by choosing a fitted tussar silk dark green kurta embellished with lucknavi embroidery from Fab India, Kochi, and paired it with the traditional mundu. I think it’s fair to say, our groom-to-be is a man who compliments his wife truly in every sense 😄.
Their engagement is one of my way personal favorites and one that’ll make you swoon 😍. Their special events are one where I can’t seem to choose a favorite (dilemmas of a blogger but I for sure ain’t complaining 😎). Remember my fellow bridezillas, what you chose to wear for your big day is never to be rushed. It’s what you wear on your big day and what you’ll see on looking back so choose wisely 💪.
Our belle went on a long pursuit to find her perfect attire and found the one that stole her heart in Jade by Monica & Karishma, Mumbai. There’s something about the way she described the ensembles that she laid her eyes on that made me want to fly over right away and invade this boutique. Well, a woman can wish 😇.
Sruthy picked out this beautiful muted peach and pink soft organza sari embellished with hand-worked beads. What truly stuck out me about this ensemble was that it had the right blend of bling and mellow which is quite a hard combination to find. Now, if you’re all about the details you will notice that this beautiful number despite being organza bestows the perfect silhouette. I’ve personally always steered away from organza ensembles since I think it makes everyone (MOSTLY ME 😏) look like a fluffy marshmallow but not this one. So remember, SOFT ORGANZA is key!
Elevating our belle’s gorgeousness to the next level, was her stunning makeup done by Jijeesh Makeup Artist, Kochi.
No big day can be complete without jewellery. From engagement rings to beautiful necklaces, jewellery continues to be an important part of our lives. Now wearing the right jewellery will go a long way when it comes to complementing your ensemble as well as your personality. This beautiful jewellery that Sruthy is sporting is once again from MOD, Kochi. A pro tip for all brides – the sari was taken along to choose the trinkets to complete her look. The choker was love at first sight and it’s easy to see why. A special shout out to Asha Mattathil who sat down with our bride and designed these beautiful baubles that truly capture one’s heart.
Our handsome boy; Akhil went the suited route with a dapper black suit paired with a crisp lilac shirt and deep purple tie. I love when grooms steer from the usual whites and blues. Take notes my fellow grooms-to-be. This is how you do it 😎!

Now this gorgeousness of décor was put together by the very talented wife and husband duo; Benovita and Devan. An interesting anecdote is that the talented Benovita asked to see Sruthy’s ensemble first to make sure the décor complements the outfit. Doesn’t she deserve a round of applause for such a smart forethought 👏?
As a wedding blogger, more the events I get to write about, the happier I am. And I couldn’t be more happier with this lovely couple who chose to celebrate their big days with joy and pizzazz 💃.
Our beauty chose this elegant designer yellow kancheepuram sari with silver jerry from Seemati, Kochi. This beautiful number was gifted by Akhil’s family. I love the thought behind her choice to wear it on their madhuramvepu as a celebration of the love shared by the families. It truly is always the little things that we carry forward ❤️. A special mention also goes to the stylish blouse design which was whipped up by our bride herself.
Her handsome boy was all ready to shake a leg with his belle in a silk fitted yellow kurta from Fab India, Kochi. If you look closely, you’ll see that both of them are wearing shades of yellow but in different tones allowing them each to shine and yet match each other 🔥.
For their D Day, Sruthy looked nothing less than a vision in white. This stunning silhouette was done on a special request by the man of her dreams himself. I love it when men pitch in and it needs to be done more often. After all, look at how stunning our belle looks. That ladies and gentlemen is a man with exquisite taste.
This beautiful gown, our belle stepped out in was done at Althea Bridals and Bespoke, Kochi. It is easy to see why they’re so popular and well-loved by brides. Every tiny detail of this gown was put down according to our belle’s vision. Sruthy was particular in wanting lace all over and a beautiful veil and our designer indeed delivered 😍.
Speaking of visions. The cherry on cake was our belle’s soft and dewy makeup done to perfection by Dewdrops Bridal Makeup Studio, Trivandrum. Deciding on the perfect bridal makeup look is never easy which is why I make your life easier or rather our stunner here does who provides you with all the inspiration you need for your special day 😍.
We all know the age-old adage of “something old, something new,” but what you’ll be seeing now will show that “something sentimental” is just as necessary as “something blue.” Our stunner got her adorable little niece, her very same wedding gown done. Just imagine the lil one’s joy when she looks back all grown up cherishing this special memory with her favorite aunt.
Remember, these “uniquely us” memories are the ones that weave themselves into the everyday lives that we build from our special day forward. And in the end, they are the ones that matter the most ❤️.
Again the jewellery deserves a special mention. This beautiful diamond set, earrings, and bracelet done in white gold was designed by Ramesh Pai of A.Geeri Pai Gold and Diamonds himself. Doesn’t it just complete her look?
The entire design was done from scratch keeping in mind our beautiful’s vision and isn’t it just stunning?
When it comes to shoes, there exists an unspoken rule. One cannot ignore-eth Jimmy Choo 😇. But, one can surely ignore-th my blatant pulverizing of medieval English 😉. Shruthi walked down the aisle towards the man of her dreams wearing a pair of beautiful purple heels gifted by her thoughtful husband himself from Jimmy Choo. Ps – the wedding theme was purple and don’t you just love the attention to detail our dapper boy puts into this thoughtful gift for his beautiful bride 😍?
Let’s not forget our dashing husband to his beautiful wife, Akhil who stepped out in a crisp black tux paired with a sharp white shirt and bow tie. To tie the bow or not is always a question. Well, you just can’t go wrong with a bow tie. After all, look at how dapper he looks with it?
Nowadays, newlyweds no longer ride off into the sunset 😄. Most couples find that it’s also important to prolong the festivities at a post-reception blowout with friends and family, especially with those who have trekked great distances to attend the wedding. At any celebration, there are always revelers who refuse to let the good times come to a close, so it’s a good idea to have an after-hours game plan.
For their after-party, our stunning duo stepped out in a color that never fails to impress me – BLACK. I’m telling you the person who invents a lil black number for men will be minting money like there’s no tomorrow 😏.
While our belle stepped out to set the floor on fire in a beautifully done black lehenga with a heavily embellished sequined skirt, our handsome groom complemented his wife in a black fitted long kurta from Milan, Kochi.
Now a frequently asked question would be ‘to have or not to have an after-party’? Now truly there exist no rules when it comes to an after-party. It’s just a matter of deciding if you want one in the first place and asking yourselves if ‘when the reception is over, will our family and friends want to continue the celebrations?’. If you’ve got a resounding “yes,” then an “after-party” could just be your ticket! Looks like our dashing duo knew their loved ones well 😄.

Drum roll please, time for my absolute favorite – COUPLE FACT. As little girls, we all have that fairy tale love story in mind and that’s what a lot of romantic souls wish their story should look like. We dream of our Prince Charming sweeping us off our feet, but mostly, we dream of love.
It has always been a notion that love is more in love marriages while in arranged marriages love is always more compromised. Let me tell you as someone who’s had an arranged marriage herself, a lot of these notions are often misplaced. While I do agree, in arranged marriages, you need to put in that extra mile to build up a bond and trust but that’s what you’d do if you went down the love marriage route as well. It’s just two different paths that lead you down the same road ❤️.
A lil something that stood out to me was how Sruthy lit up when talking about her dapper boy and their proposal story. Finding words to describe the love you feel for someone who holds your heart doesn’t always come easy. And sometimes actions help us out.
Our handsome groom made our belle’s dream come true by going down on his knee and giving her a surprise proposal. One that she always wished for. When it comes to love, it’s the little things that people do for you that make you feel the most special. And nothing shows love more than knowing your special person has gone out of their way to make your wishes come true. That’s something that comes from nothing but pure irrefutable love ❤️.
