Drum roll please š„. Fellow bridezillaās and groomzillaās, Epo Kalyanam has officially hit her 20th wedding . And itās pretty obvious that I am beyond excited and also a little proud. Weāve come a long way. Every bride and groom, whose wedding Iāve written about are so dear to me. Iāve gotten to share in one of the most significant days of your life and I cannot say thank you enough ā¤ļø.
Todayās bride is also super special to me and my first Muslim bride. I thought the 20th bride deserved to be special and special it is indeed. Meet our beautiful bride and our handsome groom, Shada and Safar. Random belle fact, do you know the word Shada in Arabic means āsinging among the birdsā šļø.Ā Incidentally our belle sings as well. Quite a befitting name, donāt you think so š?
For the nikkah, our stunner stepped out in this beautiful deep blue raw silk lehenga ensemble from Silky wedding, Calicut. The rich raw silk bestows a very elegant and sophisticated charm and the beautiful shawl draped around her was specially done on request by Karmi Studio, Calicut who personally did an exceptional job replicating the handwork seen on the lehenga to the shawl. One wouldnāt even tell that these are two separate pieces. Isnāt it quite amazing what good tailormanship can do šŖ?
Shadaās makeup is one that deems attention. Now when it comes to wedding makeup, Iām a big advocate of the āless is moreā rule. But getting married is a pretty big deal and so it deserves some rather noteworthy makeup. And no look says,ādifferentā more, than a gorgeous subtle smokey eye done beautifully on request by the talented Muneera Shiyas of Makeover Studio, Calicut.
Our lovely always envisioned herself in a north Indian bridal look and that was the very theme they went for. If you look closely, youāll see that Shada has two shawls draped around her in accordance to the North Indian bridal look. She definitely deserves brownies points for her eye for detail š.
Dressing up and looking the best on the D-day takes top priority for any bride, and jewellery forms a vital part of it. Not only does the jewellery have a special value, a brideās overall look depends a lot on the jewellery worn by her. The finishing touch to our stunnerās outfit were these beautiful mix of jewellery she hand-picked from Atlas Jewellery and Malabar Gold and Diamonds. Clearly, layering is a trend thatās catching on for sure and definitely for all the right reasons š?
However mastering the art of layering your jewellery can be a real tricky thing. You want to look easy breezy yet immaculate at the same time. While layering your jewellery is a great way to put your baubles on full display, creating the perfect cascading necklace effect isnāt always as effortless as it seems. The key here is spacing and mixing textures and stones to create a more striking impression which is exactly what our beautiful has done. Such a well thought out bride, I tell you š„.
While our stunner took our breath in her deep blue ensemble, our dapper boy was on par in blue himself. Now not many can pull off matching outfits for couples, but here they sure do know what theyāre doing ā¤ļø. When it comes to dressing as a couple, choosing a consistent color palette for both you and your partnerās outfit will allow you to project a stylish, matching aesthetic.
Safar complemented his beautiful wife in a sharp blue indo western silk sherwani enhanced with intricate embroidery and paired it with golden alighari pants. Donāt they both make such a dapper couple š?
Ā And a lil tid bit about the outfit our groom is dressed in.Ā Safar is a fashion designer and decided to use his gifted talent to create and curate his own attire. Everything you see on him is designed and made by the man himself. Gives a whole different dimension to clothes maketh the man, doesnāt it š?
Now nothing is more associated with love than the color red. And despite the changing trends in the wedding world, red has always retained its charm and itās easy to see why. For her reception, our belle chose the classic red which I truly feel is a constant companion of Indian brides. Speaking of companions, no wedding is complete without the companionship of photography š· and their big days were captured beautifully by the talented Komachi House Productions.
Shada stepped out in this stunning red gown from Admire Shoppers Space, Calicut. My absolute favorite is that while the bodice was kept plain and simple, the skirt steals the show with its heavily worked embroidery. Brings about the right balance, if you ask me š.
What bought the whole look to its stunning completion was the gorgeous makeup done by the gifted Fidha Jafer of The Makeup box, Calicut who sure does have magic on her fingertips. Do check out this talented belle’s stunning work and do to not forget to show her some love š!
Bringing in a stunning dash of contrast color to harmonize with his beautiful wife was Safar who went the blue route.Ā He chose a delicate blue kurta paired with white trousers to bring about a pop. I love how despite choosing two extreme colors, they both look nothing but compatible.
Speaking about compatible. Letās head on over to a lil segment that is my very personal favorite and something I have a lot of readers write in about. Itās starting to become a regular of sorts if you ask me. And hey, I ain’t complaining. š. I love asking couples about themselves and their stories and I guess thatās how COUPLE FACT was born.
Todayās couple is one that reminds you of the word serendipity. Often this is a word thatās been thrown around a lot in movies and books. A chance meeting after many years is what blossomed the love between these two ā¤ļø. Although the word serendipity is interpreted as finding something valuable when you are not looking for it, these two love birds didnāt let the fates decide the rest for them, instead, they found love and worked hard to pursue it down the line.
Good relationships take hard work šŖ.Sustaining a relationship over years is not for the faint of heart. The couples that have rock solid, flourishing relationships may make it look easy but honestly they are actively working each and every day, behind the scenes of the public eye, to care for and better their relationships. Remember, getting to spend the rest of your life with the one you love is what makes the work worth it in the end. Our adorable duo sure have one hell of a love story to be passing on to their future mini-meās ā¤ļø.
And as always,Ā if you have any questions for me regarding this post or otherwise, you know what to do š. Donāt forget to show us some love onĀ ourĀ Instagram handleĀ Ā Ā @epokalyanam andĀ Facebook pageĀ Ā Ā @epokalyanam.theblog. And please feel free to drop me in a message if you love what you read and see. I always love hearing from you all š. Psst, by doing so youāll be absolutely making my day.
Lots of Ā ā¤ ,
Elza
